Biography

     Dina Brodsky was born in 1981 in Minsk, Belarus. Her family immigrated to America in 1990.  She received her BFA at the University of Massachussets in Amherst, and continued her education at the New York Academy of Art. She graduated from there with a Master's Degree in Spring 2006, and currently resides in Boston, Massachussetts.

Artist Statement
 
   My goal is to utilize my knowledge of traditional techniques in order to express modern concepts and ideas. I have been strongly influenced by 17th century Spanish vanitas paintings such as Zurbaran and Luis Melendez, as well as Dutch and Flemish landscape painting.
